Store performance from reviews

Store performance from reviews, compared fairly across every location.

Falcon turns the public Google Maps reviews of every store into comparable measures of store performance: the issues customers raise at each location, how negative they are and whether they are getting better or worse.

The problem

What gets in the way

League tables nobody trusts

Ranking stores by average rating puts a store with 25 reviews next to one with 2,500. The order changes every week and managers argue with it.

A rating with no reason

A store's rating falls from 4.4 to 4.1 and nobody can say whether it is staff, stock, queues or a single bad week.

Store visits based on anecdotes

Regional managers decide where to spend time from complaints that reached head office, not from what thousands of customers wrote.

How it works

From every review to the next step

  1. Every store's reviews, one taxonomy

Falcon collects each location's public Google Maps reviews and classifies them into the same themes, sub-themes and issues.

  2. Compare like for like

See each store's volume, sentiment and leading issues for the same period and source, with small samples flagged.

  3. Find where to act

Signals show which topics are slipping at which stores by month, and each one opens the reviews that explain it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How can reviews measure store performance?

Reviews describe what customers noticed at a specific store: service, waiting, stock, cleanliness, billing and more. Classified consistently, they show which issues each store has, how often and whether they are improving, which a star rating alone cannot.

Why not just rank stores by Google rating?

Averages built on very different numbers of reviews are not comparable, and a rating does not say what is wrong. Comparing issue rates for the same period, with small samples flagged, gives a fairer and more useful picture.

What counts as a small sample?

Falcon flags findings built on few reviews so they are not ranked alongside well-supported ones. Your team can still open and read those reviews.

Can we compare stores of different formats?

Yes, by filtering to comparable stores and the same period and source. Comparing a highway outlet with a mall flagship is rarely fair, so compare each store with its peers.

Which sources are included?

Google Maps reviews of your stores, and Google Play reviews of your app, which are kept separate from store-level results.
